Ride for Dzi

Since I just wrote a long post about my journey through Myanmar, I will keep this one rather short and sweet. In just 5 days, Brandon and I will be leaving Hanoi for a 500+ bike ride down the coast of Vietnam, ending in Da Nang. We have decided to make this a charity ride, fundraising money for an organization in Nepal called the Dzi Foundation.

What is the Dzi Foundation, you ask??? Well, I’ll tell ya. The Dzi Foundation was founded in 1998 and has been working ever since with remote communities in Nepal to create lasting and sustainable improvements in their quality of life. They accomplish their goals through implementing community-driven programs that focus on public facilities, public health, income levels, and educational opportunities while simultaneously preserving community unity, the natural environment, and indigenous culture. In the wake of the devastating earthquake that struck Nepal in April 2015, the work at the Dzi foundation is more important than ever.

If you are interested in what we are doing, I will be posting updates from every step of the way on our fundraising page:
